Post-Treatment Care & Recovery

Immediate Aftercare (Day 1-3):

• Expect redness, tightness, and mild dryness, similar to a sunburn. Gently cleanse with cool water and a mild cleanser, and pat dry with clean hands. (You can use growth factor serum after 12 hours, can ice the face/ put ice on face after 24 hours.)

• Avoid exercise, saunas, and steam baths for 24–48 hours to prevent bacterial infections in open pores.

• Refrain from applying makeup for 24 hours; if necessary, use only mineral-based options.

• Use a Mineral sun block sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) after 24 hours and avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.

Peeling Phase (Day 3-7):

• Skin may flake as cell turnover increases. Keep the skin moisturized with hyaluronic serum or growth factor products. Avoid picking or scrubbing.

• Resume regular skincare products, including Retin-A, once irritation subsides.

Lifestyle Tips:

• Sleep on your back with your head elevated to minimize swelling.

• Avoid inflammatory medications like ibuprofen, as they can hinder the natural healing process. Use Tylenol if needed.

• Maintain a healthy diet rich in collagen-supporting nutrients (e.g., pineapple, salmon, bone broth) and avoid dairy, wheat, and sugar for 2 weeks to optimize healing.

Follow-Up:

• Plan follow-up treatments every 4–6 weeks. A series of 3–5 sessions is typically recommended for the best results.

• Continued skin improvements can be seen for months after the final treatment.

Rejuran is not currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for injectable use. Therefore, in the United States, Rejuran is typically applied topically in conjunction with microneedling or fractional laser treatments, rather than being injected.
